About
Jo Daykin established Daykin Live and can offer her expertise in a consultancy or production role, or if required, she can bring on a highly experienced team of associates and freelancers to
bring the best results.
She began her professional life as a primary school teacher in inner London before she moved into advisory posts and teacher education at the University of Greenwich. During this time she developed a specialism in multicultural approaches and multifaith Religious Education
The BBC beckoned and after a year as an Education Officer, working with a brief to increase the representation of diversity in programmes,
she became a Producer/Director with
BBC Schools Radio, making a broad range of educational and entertaining series to support young people's learning.
She re-introduced children's entertainment programming to Radio 4, worked on programmes such as Woman's Hour and did a stint
in Live Events TV.
She then moved into events: project managing events such as the
BBC's 'Proms in the Park 'around the country and the
BBC's Audio and Music Festival for its own staff.

Since leaving the BBC Jo has produced shows at the
Royal Albert Hall, open air stages in iconic London spaces,
football fan parks in Africa,
corporate conferences internationally, and she's made short films and news videos, to name just a few things!
